This is #115 NT in the 4th ed of “Camps Australia Wide”. Located on Litchfield Park Rd, approx 66k South West of Batchelor. Set up by the National Parks, the campground consists of a series of one-way circular bitumen roads, with a grassed area or a flush toilet and hot shower ablutions block in the middle. There were 2 ablutions blocks. Campsite/caravan sites are cut from the bush only on the outside of each circle, reasonable level and paved with gravel/red sand, with at least equal sections of native bush separating one from the next. Campsite/caravan sites vary in size, some would hold only car + caravan, some 2 campervans, etc. The entry to each of these areas is “bollarded”, so careful manouvering is required. As advised elsewhere, you need to get there early to get to choose, particularly with a big caravan. Can't comment/didn't use the showers, but frequency of cleaning toilets needs to be increased. $6.60 per night per person honesty box Created by: Wedge 03.10.2012. Updated: Thu, 04 Oct 2012

Bush camping area with swimming hole. The Park is located approximately
130 km from Katherine and
200 km from Darwin. If you are
travelling south, take the Old
Stuart Highway scenic route from
Adelaide River. If travelling north
take the scenic route just north of
Hayes Creek. The last 7 km into
Tjuwaliyn is a formed gravel road
providing dry season access (May
- September) for all vehicles. The
towing of caravans and trailers is
usually possible. Lovely swimming hole with combination of hot springs and cold water.
The water comes out of the creek bed at around 57 degrees so be careful! $6.60 Created by: Higgi. Updated: Fri, 02 Dec 2011
